We all know that stress can negatively affect the body, but do you know just how? Even though our bodies are built to experience and deal with stress, the consequences can become serious when there is no relief or relaxation between stressors. Repeated exposure to stress can lead to headaches, upset stomach, elevated blood pressure, chest pain, and problems sleeping. Lucky for us, exercise is a great way to combat and alleviate stress. Working out pumps up endorphins (your brain’s “feel good” transmitters) to help your overall sense of well-being.  Plus, taking time out to focus on the movement of your body can help clear your mind of irritations and stressors from the day.Ready to beat that stress? This year spotlights the illnesses transmitted from insects or parasites, known as “vector-borne diseases”.As we move into a more outdoor lifestyle in the Spring, it’s important to stay protected against these types of diseases. Here are a few easy precautions everyone can take:- Use insecticides and repellent products prior to any outdoor activity.- Be aware of peak exposure times and places.
